Flatrack
Following the contact RVM sought with VDL Containersystemen, a cooperation plan was developed for a truck with hooklift system and a Flatrack to spread out the mats and roll them up again. Together with RVM the step was taken to try to introduce the flatrack installation in Abu Dhabi.
As a follow-up a demonstration model was developed and with this prototype, combined with a VDL hooklift, RVM and VDL participated in an exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
This turned out to be very successful and meanwhile the first 6 installations have been delivered to a Polish user. RVM is specialized in producing the portable road with mats and VDL is competent in construction and hydraulics which makes this cooperation a very nice combination.
Winder
The winderr can be constructed on any truck equipped with a hooklift system. VDL Containersystemen has been closely involved in the development of this ingenious and highly effective solution to quickly reach or pass through heavy equipment or a large number of vehicles, remote areas or soft territory.
With two people, someone to operate the system and the driver, you are already able to build a temporary road this way.
Because the use of this Portable Road can be diverse due to changing situations, it requires specific applications. The winder has an extra power pack, a connection to the hydraulic and electrical system of the truck and twistlocks. Furthermore, the winder has a remote control, a battery charger, option is a cleaning system that can consist of brushes, water jets and/or vibrating beam.
The winder is equipped with a fixed core, option is an interchangeable reel. Extra storage space is created for tools and accessories. Special work lights have even been thought of for night-time operations.
The winder fits in its entirety in a 20ft container and can be transported to any area which requires this kind of instant applications.
