Container Terminal Twente with fully electrical VDL spreaders

CTT Almelo uses electric VDL spreaders as well as CTT Rotterdam. Also in Rotterdam a VDL piggyback attachment was installed recently as extension to their fleet.

A piggyback attachment is only connected with the spreader (by its twistlocks) in case the customer has to handle trailers. The rest of the time the terminal will benefit from the advantages of our standard fully electrical spreader (low weight, energy consumption, maintenance required and easy operation). The spreaders are electrically prepared for this attachment and will provide power and commands to the attachment with a plug.
