Very successful 2-day VAK meeting at DAF & VDL
We organized this successful two-day VAK meeting together with DAF Nederland. Thanks to the overwhelming attendance and interest of the VAK members!
The first day had a full program so we had to leave on time. With a VDL double-decker bus we first went to VDL Nedcar for a general presentation and guided tour. The wait-and-see attitude of the participating VAK members turned into enthusiasm and interest, which was expressed in the questions that did not stop during lunch. As we already thought, many people have no idea what VDL does and what kind of organization is behind it.
Then we continued our way to the DAF site in Eindhoven where a very nice presentation was given after which everyone stimulated by curiosity went into the experience-room.
The evening was held in the atmospheric DAF museum where Dr. Carlo van de Weijer, Managing Director EAISI, Eindhoven AI Systems Institute, gave a very interesting and humorous presentation about Future of Mobility. It was impressive to see that everyone was really on the edge of their seats so as not to miss a thing!
In the morning of day two, VAK meetings with the various working groups were planned. Hopefully these days have enriched everyone's thoughts, so we can say: goal achieved.
