Experienced VDL user still surprised by new system
Beautiful Scania with a VDL hooklift installation with a capacity of 21 tons, build up by our dealer Rondaan in Berlikum. We spoke to the driver who took the system into use last month.
Martin, driver at van Schotpoort Container transport, which nowadays falls under vd Wal, is very relaxed and satisfied when we call him to ask how he likes his new VDL system. "Yeah, well, I've been driving around with VDL systems for a very long time and there's never anything wrong with them. I can rely on it on a daily basis, no matter what I'm transporting".
This Scania is equipped with a dynamic speed control function that can shorten the
cycletime of tipping and all stages of container handling. And here, too, only satisfaction.
But even a loyal user of VDL systems can still be surprised! Martin had a wish to use one and the same system to transport both Dutch and German containers. For example, he was with a fellow driver from Enschede who, to his surprise, saw him pull up a German container with his Dutch hooklift system, also a VDL system. "He asked the driver, who immediately showed him that by adjusting the hook, he could indeed do this too!
Martin is now doubly happy with his beautiful vehicle and concludes our conversation with: "A perfect system from VDL, I don't want anything else!"
