Intended as "modular plus" solutions to go from standard to customer-specific.
Our latest generation of products are modular. The basis is simple and easily accessible. The products can (but don't have to!) then be provided with options up to the highest level with various techniques to upgrade the container handling in order to work faster and more efficiently with an eye for the environment and extra safety. For example, by making operating errors and therefore damage impossible and seeking far-reaching cooperation with the truck's adjustment options so that the end product becomes a one-two-two of truck and bodywork. Think of height and/or tipping angle limitation, shortened stopping moment and bumper protection. Or not being able to drive unhindered.
Technically everything is possible
With "Datalogging" and "Internet Of Things" as the latest trends, we have already shown at previous fairs that this is all possible. The question now is, what information is useful? So what data do we want to log in order to carry out preventive maintenance to prevent failure?
Total Value of Ownership
With this philosophy we focus more on Total Value of Ownership (TVO): It must ultimately add something and remain affordable for the customer! Fortunately, we see that when VDL partners and customers ultimately choose a product, they pay more attention to certainties such as deployability, efficiency and low maintenance costs. 
By following this strategy, we invest in high-quality raw materials, techniques and invest in our own product development. Customers see the added value.
Driving Demo
The new demo truck enables VDL to present the latest products and possibilities directly to customers at a location of their choice. VDL has opted for this personal way of coming into contact with customers because of the loss of trade fairs such as the IFAT and the IAA due to the corona virus. A vehicle equipped with a remote control with start-stop and automatic "revs". And with measuring systems on the cylinders, so that an analysis can be made of every moment of the container handling in order to make an extremely smooth and efficient movement of the loading and unloading, the tipping and the use of special containers. And the beautiful thing is also the result with the driver working with it... a satisfied smile!
