History

VDL Containers started in 1999 in an empty production hall and without any orders.
But thanks to a number of highly skilled and loyal employees the new compagny, within
the VDL groep, was made a succes. In its first full production year over 300 systems were sold. A strong dealer network was created and is expanding continuously.

After 5 years it was decided to expand the product range with a take-over of Smits Spreader Systems.
After the integration of Smits Spreader Systems, also thanks to many similarities on
development, production and after sales, a healthy  growing company arose.
In 2006 VDL Containersystemen moved to the current premises at the Industrieweg in Hapert.
